Let me attempt to grasp the atheist perspective: You assert that there is no God (Romans 1:18-23), that each individual possesses free will without a perfect path to follow (John 14:6), and that the Bible lacks divine inspiration (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
Conversely, you maintain that existence is a random occurrence, and that man holds ultimate authority, determining his own moral code. This ideology suggests a moral relativism where actions such as rape, theft, and murder are permissible as long as one evades detection or is willing to face the consequences according to societal laws.
Left to his own devices, man's autonomy becomes a recipe for disaster, for only God holds the title of "Supreme Authority" (Matthew 28:18-20). The era of apostasy and the end times loom upon us.
LITERAL, ALLEGORICAL, OR BOTH:
There are moments when it seems plausible to interpret certain passages of the Bible allegorically, while at other times, a literal interpretation appears equally valid. Only God possesses the ultimate truth, as human interpretation may sometimes fall short in fully capturing the essence of divine revelation. The Bible, in its entirety, holds a perfection of its own, and one day, we may comprehend its message in its entirety.
According to 1 Corinthians 2:14 (NIV), individuals lacking spiritual discernment perceive the teachings of God as folly, as they can only be grasped through the guidance of the Spirit.
